Virtual Interfaith Memorial Service

An Integral Yoga Interfaith Virtual Memorial Service: Remembering and Honoring Our Loved Ones

The loss of a loved one can be made easier with emotional and spiritual support. When we lose a family member or friend, we also want to honor their life in a way that shows love and recognition of how they have given meaning and joy to our lives. Likewise, all the great spiritual traditions teach us different ways of honoring loved ones who pass on.

In order to commemorate the family and friends who have passed away in the last year or so, as well as recognize that Truth is One, Paths are Many, please join us in a virtual “Integral Yoga Family and Friends Interfaith Memorial Service” to invoke divine blessings upon the departed souls and to bring comfort and peace to their family and friends.

The service will highlight:

  1. Representatives of different Faiths who will share their faith’s response to death and grief and share prayers
  2. An Integral Yoga puja
  3. A slide show of loved ones and their qualities to warm us with sweet memories and inspiration, and
  4. A beautiful candlelight ceremony to send prayers to our loved ones as they continue their journey home.

Please join us online for this virtual service.

PLEASE NOTE: Bring a candle for the candle lighting part of the service, and if you wish us to include your loved one in the memorial, please email us at prayer@iyiny.org no later than Monday, October 24 with their name and picture, their date of birth and passing, along with one or two positive qualities for which they will be remembered.

This Interfaith Memorial Service is being offered by NY and NJ Integral Yoga Ministers, Reverend Jaganath Carrera, Reverends Bhavani & Bhagavan Metro of Yogaville, Reverend Kamala Itzel Howard of San Francisco, Jayadeva of Princeton NJ, and esteemed representatives of Hinduism, Judaism, Shinto, Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism, African Faiths, and Native American Faiths.

Thank you so much for this opportunity to serve you. Together we can appreciate all our loved ones who have made a difference in our lives. They can continue making a difference by us living our lives better, inspired by their positive qualities.

This is an online program. You’ll need to download Zoom to attend. Please see your registration confirmation email for the Zoom link.
