Yoga and I fell in love with each other in 2011 when I took my first Yoga class, discovered my first copy of the Yoga Sutras, and met my Teacher – Reverend Jaganath Carrera. I began the intense study and practice of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, as well as other Yogic Scriptures, and have never looked back. I am continuously wonder stuck and humbled at Yoga’s ability to transform my perception, heart, and mind; for me Yoga is about being happy, finding out who you are, and how you are connected to everyone around you. The Path of Yoga (as well as my motto in life) can be summed up as this: “Be Good, Do Good” (a quote by Swami Sivananda). My sole driving force and aspiration is simply this: to be a good person and to do good things or – to put it differently – to Love and Serve. It is from this place that I approach students and the practice of Yoga.
