Students will participate in guided meditations that introduce a number of
meditation techniques in order to help them discover what works best for them.

Each Session includes a list of topics to be covered, a guided meditation, and a
suggested homework assignment with clear comprehensive handouts!

The Greatest Victory
“The greatest victory you can win is over your own mind. That's what Yoga is all about. Begin with small
things. Begin with disciplining the body thr oug h a s ana s (Yo g a postures). The next discipline is
controlling the breath with the breathing practices, or pranayama. Next, is discipline over your senses
through pratyahara. Then, dharana, making the mind one-pointed. And, then stabilize that one-pointed
mind. That's what you call meditation or dhyana. See how it gradually progresses? I love

Yogic Diet

An Introduction to a Healthy Diet

Yoga offers many teachings on how a Yogic diet and basic lifestyle changes can it easier for you to practice the asanas
(mindful stretches), pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation (Mindful attention). A Yogic Diet has also
been proven to be an integral part of Dr Ornish’s program for reversing heart disease, cancer, and he is now
piloting research on Alzheimer’s Disease!
